Postpone
Trips (to another dates) without cancellation fees:
In some general and specific cases and reasons, it happens
that the clients might need to choose getting their tour postponed for their
own reasons and others which are not under their controls. Postponing the trip
can be in 03 cases and reasons:
1.
In case of conflicts in
neighboring countries." And/ or "In case of a travel warning to
Jordan. “: In this case, will be handled and agreed case by case with
your Plato Tours & Travel sales agent.

In addition to the case of shore excursions
Aqaba: In case the cruise ship will not dock in Aqaba Port/Jordan due to
weather conditions or any other circumstances": In this case, will
be handled and agreed case by case with Plato Tours & Travel sales agent.
3.
For
personal reasons, i, e work, personal reasons, unexpected or exceptional
circumstances or any…etc... Postponing the trip should be advised
and to be agreed with your Plato Tours &
Travel sales agent to transfer it to another date and should be 28
days (4 weeks) prior to arrival date.
Otherwise postponing the trip is not possible and our
policy of payment and cancellation will be applied, which is
"Transfer of a confirmed booking to another tour or departure date is
deemed a cancellation of the original booking. There will be no refund for
cancellation of unused services on or after commencement date."
However, Postponing the trip to another date
if applicable of any of the above three cases we have outlined
above will be charged 10 % more to be added to the
postponed trip as transfer fees as our team will be doing another new job for
transferring the dates, and what is worth to mention the postpone is
valid for 12 months maximum (01 Year). Postponing the trip is subject to
hotels availability, in case of “Multi Day Tours”, as it happens that the
hotel(s) chosen / booked in the original tour, might not be available in the
postponed dates, and this will be advised by our Plato
Tours & Travel sales team.
ADDIOTNAL
POLICIES CONCERNING PAYMENTS:
1-

are subject to change without prior notice due to fuel price fluctuation. Rates
also are subject to change without prior notice due to increasing the entrance
fees, guiding/guide fees, visa fees, departure tax fees, VIP crossing, shuttle fees,
hotels/camps rates, jeep tours, optional tours, meals (restaurants) and any

or weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. Where a change is of a
significant nature it will be advised to our customers in writing. Plato Tours & Travel cannot be held responsible for any service that we are
unable to provide due to that particular component being unavailable due to
circumstances beyond our control. Refunds will be applied as applicable.
3-
Any
amendment to your confirmed final itinerary has to be sent to us in writing.
Requested amendments, especially some days prior to arrival and during the
tour, cannot always be considered if the expected complexity is not matching
with our operational procedures and personnel capacity. Plato Tours & Travel reserves the right to charge a fee of $50USD at least for
any amendments to the final itinerary. Any additional charges that result from
the amendment will be added to the total.
4-
Day
Tours require full payment at the time of booking, unless booked alongside a
multi-day tour, and are not eligible for refunds unless otherwise specified.
5-
Full
payment is required at the time of booking for 2-for-1 deals or 50% discount
promotions, thereafter, the booking is non-refundable/non-changeable.
Occasionally, other deals may have the same conditions, and Plato Tours & Travel will notify you at the time of booking if this is the
case. A 2-for-1 deal applies when 2 travelers book the same tour on the same
date and share a room. If one of the sharing travelers can no longer travel or
is a no-show on arrival, the remaining passenger will be required to pay the single
supplement. We will revert to you with the exact single supplement on time of
this case.
6- Plato Tours & Travel can terminate any
trip if payment is not received at least 48 hours prior to the trip date, as
our team submits the paperwork to the authorities to get permits for the driver
to meet you at port then. If payment isn't received by then, the trip will be
automatically cancelled and your sales rep will notify you of this unless
otherwise is agreed upon with our team.
7-
Plato Tours & Travel reserves the right to return your payment
and decline to issue a booking confirmation at our absolute discretion. A
binding contract “Trip confirmation” will come into existence between you and
us as soon as we have received payment and issued to you in writing a booking
confirmation that will confirm the details of your booking and will be sent to
you or your travel agent.
8-
The
balance of the cost of your arrangements (including any applicable surcharge)
is due not less than 60 days prior to scheduled departure (unless otherwise
specified before payment). If, after we have given notice of a missed balance
payment, we do not receive this balance in full and on time, we reserve the
right to treat your booking as canceled by you, in which case the cancellation
charges set out above will become payable.
9- For all our PRIVATE or GROUP TOURS, the listed prices cover all the essentials like accommodation, transports, and some activities. However, in some of our GROUP TOURS in Jordan, sightseeing entrance fees, group tip kitty, and local payments are obligatory, payable upon the commencement of your tour. All prices listed are per person, and details of these costs are noted in the Excluded Section of our tour itinerary/trip notes. Monies paid to an agent/ supplier acting on our behalf, for tours operated by us, are held by the agent on our behalf.
Somehow, it's essential to be aware of potential additional costs. These might
include meals not included in the package, entrance fees to certain
attractions, tips for guides and drivers, and personal expenses like shopping
or optional excursions. These additional costs can vary depending on your
choices and preferences.
10-
Refunds: Please
check the refund policy below:

will be made using the same method of payment (unless specified by you for a
different method by which to receive the refund) less any bank charges/credit
card/ payment fees and charges incurred which are NOT covered by us.

circumstances, we reserve the right to correct prices and other details. Please
ensure you verify the current price and all related details for your chosen
arrangements before making a booking. We retain the right to amend the price of
unsold tours at any time and rectify errors in confirmed tour prices.
Quoted prices on your itinerary are per person based on
double occupancy. Opting for a single room incurs an additional fee. While the
cost of your trip is confirmed at the time of booking, all tours are subject to
surcharges. Factors such as transportation costs, fuel, dues, taxes, fees for
services like landing or embarkation/disembarkation, or exchange rates may
change after booking. We'll make every effort to notify you of any surcharges
as soon as possible.
If you choose not to accept the adjusted trip cost, you
can either cancel your tour (subject to the described cancellation fees) or
move your deposit to another tour without penalty if done within 90 days before
your originally scheduled trip date. We reserve the right to correct errors in

original booking terms and the specific promo code conditions.
8.
Booking Cancellation: Cancellation
of a booking secured with a promo code may result in the forfeiture of the
promotional discount or offer. Any refund or credit will be subject to the
initial booking terms and the specific promo code conditions.
9.
Misuse: Plato Tours & Travel retains the right to
withhold, revoke, or reject promo codes that are reasonably believed to have
been acquired through unauthorized means, including fraudulent activity.
10.
Code Authenticity: Users are
responsible for verifying the legitimacy and source of any promo code they
receive. Plato Tours &
Travel disclaims any liability for promo codes obtained from unofficial
or unauthorized sources.
11.
Modification and Termination: Plato Tours & Travel reserves
the prerogative to alter, suspend, or terminate any promo code program, either
wholly or partially, at its discretion and without prior notice.
12. Governing Law: These promo code terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Jordan, and any disputes arising from their application or interpretation are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Jordanian courts.
5.
Last
minute booking:
Booking last minute can be a bit of a
double-edged sword when it comes to travel. While the spontaneity can add an
exciting edge to your plans, it's important to consider that the availability
of services might be limited and the quality of services can be compromised.
Since most services and many options could be sold out, the variety and quality
of choices may not be as extensive as they would be with advance planning.
Preferred accommodations, tours, and activities tend to fill up
quickly, leaving fewer options that can potentially lead to less optimal
experience for those making last-minute reservations. While we'll do our best
to accommodate your preferences, it's worth keeping in mind that securing the
most sought-after services may be a bit more challenging. Planning in advance
not only secures the best options but also ensures a smoother and more
enjoyable journey, allowing you to make the most of your travel experience
without the constraints that last-minute bookings might bring.
6.
Special Requests:
Any special requests must be advised to Plato Tours & Travel at the
time of booking (e.g., diet, room location, room type, i.e., twin/double, a
particular facility at a hotel, etc., i.e., swimming pool, gym, etc.). You also
need to confirm your requests in writing. While every effort will be made by Plato Tours & Travel to try
and arrange your reasonable special requests, we cannot guarantee that they
will be fulfilled.
The fact that a special request has been noted on your
confirmation itinerary or any other documentation or that it has been passed on
to the supplier is not a confirmation that the request will be met. Failure to
meet any special request will not be a breach of the contract on the part of Plato Tours & Travel, and
we do not accept bookings that are conditional upon any special request being
met.
7.
Surcharges for Special/Restricted Dates:
Plato Tours &
Travel reserves
the right to add a surcharge to our advertised rates for tours that fall during
special/restricted dates such as Christmas Period, New Year Period, Easter,
Eid, etc. These surcharges will be communicated to the client before finalizing
the rate for the tour.
8. Age, Fitness, and Medical Conditions:
At Plato
Tours & Travel, we are committed to ensuring that you and all
members of your booking party have a delightful and safe travel experience in
Jordan. To make the most of your journey, it is essential that all participants
are physically and mentally capable of engaging in the activities outlined in
our tour itineraries. Please carefully assess your abilities to handle tasks
such as carrying your luggage, utilizing public transport, walking at a
moderate pace, and taking care of yourself without constant guide supervision, both
during scheduled free time and included activities and meals.
To help us determine the suitability of a tour or
private itinerary, individuals falling into the following categories are
required to complete our Tour Suitability Form within 14 days of booking:
While we may discuss the itinerary, your fitness, and your
health with you before traveling or require a doctor's certificate, the
ultimate responsibility lies with you to assess whether a tour or tailored
arrangement is suitable based on your individual circumstances, limitations,
fitness level, and medical requirements.
If, for any reason, joining a group tour is
impractical, we may explore the option of providing the holiday on a private
basis with associated costs. Many travelers have enjoyed our group tours by
traveling with a friend or companion who can assist with their specific needs.
In cases where we cannot adequately cater to an individual's needs, we will
refund all monies paid to us. In situations where a traveler's health or
conduct poses a potential risk to the safe, comfortable, or happy progress of
the tour, we reserve the right to exclude them from all or part of the tour. In
such cases, all monies paid will be forfeited, and no compensation will be
provided.
To ensure a smooth travel experience, please inform us
of any medical conditions or disabilities that may affect your trip
arrangements at the time of booking. Additionally, if you require medication or
treatment during your holiday, please make suitable arrangements in advance.
Some countries have restrictions on certain types of medications and the amount
that can be carried through customs, so it's advisable to check these
regulations before your trip.
While there is no upper age limit for our tours,
unaccompanied minors (those under 18 years of age) cannot participate in tours
operated by Plato Tours &
Travel. Children between 5 and 18 years of age may travel on select
family or private tours provided they are accompanied by a parent or guardian
who accepts full responsibility for them. Children over 15 years of age may
travel on select group tours with a parent or guardian who accepts full
responsibility for them, subject to our discretion.
For tours that include activities such as Wadi Mujib
trails, please inform us during booking if you or any member of your party is
unable to swim. While this does not prevent participation in the tour, it
allows us to take additional safety precautions as needed.
9. Travel Changes and Cancellations by Client:
If you wish to make changes to your booking after
confirmation, please submit your requests in writing as soon as possible. While
we will do our best to assist, changes are subject to availability, and we
cannot guarantee that all requests can be accommodated. Changes may incur an
administration fee and any associated costs imposed by our Suppliers. Some
changes might lead to a recalculation of the tour price.
If you decide to transfer your booking to a different
tour, the process varies depending on the specific tour. In some cases, there
may be no penalties for the canceled tour, while other tours may incur a
penalty. Cancellation of your booking entirely requires a written notice to us.
Cancellation charges will apply, and refunds will be made, minus the above
cancelation fees policy in section A. Payment – IV. Cancelation policy.
Please note that different schedules and cancellation
rates may apply to customized or private tours. Depending on the reason for
cancellation, you may be able to claim these charges (less any applicable
excess) through your travel insurance policy. Claims must be filed directly
with the travel insurance company.
10. Travel Changes and Cancellations by Plato
Tours & Travel:
At Plato
Tours & Travel, we strive to operate all tours as advertised.
However, we reserve the right to make changes to accommodations, services,
prices, and itineraries when necessary. Most changes are minor in nature, but
in the event of a significant change, such as a change in accommodation
standards or the omission of a crucial destination, we will notify you as soon
as possible, provided there is sufficient time before departure.
Please be aware that the examples mentioned are not
exhaustive, and other changes may also be considered significant. In the event
of a significant change, we may offer you the choice to purchase a similar
alternative tour, provided sufficient time is available before your departure.
If the alternative tour is cheaper than your original choice, we will refund
the difference. If it is more expensive, you will be required to pay the
difference. You may also select from our other available trips, but additional
costs will be your responsibility if the alternate departure is more expensive.
If you choose to cancel instead, you are entitled to a full refund, except for
airfare expenses that cannot be refunded.
For customized or private tours, cancellations by other
parties may impact the price of your travel and accommodations. We reserve the
right to recalculate these charges and invoice you accordingly. It is important
to note that escorted group tours require a minimum number of participants to
operate. If we do not reach the minimum booking requirement for a particular
tour, we reserve the right to cancel it, and you will be notified of the
cancellation at least two months before your departure. Additionally, we retain
the right to cancel any tour at our discretion. While this is unlikely, if a
client's physical condition or behavior is perceived to affect their own
well-being or the well-being of others, we may choose to cancel their trip. It
is imperative that clients conduct themselves in a respectful and
non-disruptive manner. In such cases, we reserve the right to terminate any
arrangements made on your behalf. If your behavior results in trip termination,
your right to any refunds, reimbursements, or compensation is forfeited.
In the event of tour cancellation by Plato Tours & Travel due to
reasons other than a Force Majeure event, we will make every effort to rebook
the same tour with an alternative departure date or offer you a similar tour.
In case you choose to cancel, we will refund your reservation payments, excluding
a $250.00 per person administrative fee.
11. Force Majeure and Other Cancellations
by Plato Tours & Travel:
Plato Tours &
Travel shall
not be in breach of these terms and conditions or liable to you for any failure
or delay in fulfilling an obligation under this Agreement due to causes beyond
our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, orders of
governmental authorities, accidents, riots, war, terrorist acts, epidemics,
pandemics, quarantine, civil commotion, insurrection, breakdown of
communication and transportation facilities, equipment malfunctions,
destruction or severe damage to facilities, natural catastrophes such as
extreme weather events, floods, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, governmental
acts or omissions, changes in laws or regulations, national or regional
strikes, fire, explosions, scarcity of raw materials or energy, and any other
unforeseen circumstances not under our control (Force Majeure Event). We highly
recommend the purchase of travel insurance for all trips.
Plato Tours &
Travel reserves
the right to cancel or reschedule any trip departure for any reason and at any
time, including insufficient demand, strikes, lockouts, riots, labor stoppages,
or Force Majeure events. Our Suppliers also have their own terms and
conditions, which include Force Majeure provisions. In the case of a Force
Majeure event, our Suppliers may be entitled to vary, postpone, or cancel any
itinerary or arrangement related to the trip. The payment of any refund to you
due to the non-performance of obligations by a third-party Supplier is at the
sole discretion of the Supplier in accordance with their policies, although Plato Tours & Travel will
make reasonable efforts to secure reimbursement whenever possible.
If a Force Majeure event results in the cancellation of
your trip by Plato Tours &
Travel, we will make efforts to rebook the same tour with an alternative
departure date or offer you a similar tour. If you opt for a refund, we will
return the amounts paid for your reservation, excluding the administrative fee
of $250.00 per person.
12. Transferring Your Booking:
If you are unable to travel, you have the option to
transfer your place to someone else, provided the following conditions are met:
13. Your Behavior:
We expect all of our guests to comply with the laws and
regulations of the countries visited. Any failure to do so relieves us of all obligations
to you. Furthermore, we reserve the right to refuse potential customers or the
service for customers traveling with us. This is the case if someone causes
unnecessary inconvenience, acts insulting, threatening, abusive or violent,
damages property, put others in danger – no matter if it is on phone, in
writing or in person.
We may terminate your travel arrangements without any
liability on our part. No refunds will be made, and we will not pay any
expenses or costs incurred as a result of termination. You and/or your party
may also be required to pay for loss and/or damage caused by your actions and
we will hold you liable. Full payment for any such damage or losses must be
paid directly prior to departure.
14. Delays and Denied Boarding Regulations,
Missed Arrangements, and Curtailment:
Departure and arrival times are approximate and subject
to change, and we disclaim any liability for modifications, cancellations, or
delays in your transportation to, from, or within Jordan. We also absolve
ourselves of responsibility for alterations, cancellations, or delays due to
adverse weather conditions, rescheduling by transport suppliers, airline or
airport authority actions, air traffic controller decisions, mechanical
breakdowns, industrial actions, or other events or circumstances beyond our control.
If your flight is canceled, delayed, downgraded, or you
are denied boarding by the airline, you may be entitled to compensation, flight
cost refund, accommodation, and refreshments according to EC Regulation No
261/2004, also known as the Denied Boarding Regulations 2004.
Pursuing compensation or other payments due under these Regulations is your
responsibility, and you must contact the airline directly.
If you or any member of your party misses a flight, or transport
arrangement, experiences a cancellation, or faces a delay exceeding 3 hours for
any reason, you must promptly contact us, the airline, and your insurer or other
transport suppliers. A delay or cancellation of your flight does not
automatically permit the cancellation of other travel arrangements associated
with the flight.
The carrier(s), flight timings, and aircraft types
presented in our promotional materials or on our website and outlined in your
confirmation invoice are for guidance purposes only. Our advertising material
is our responsibility as your tour operator and does not bind the airlines
mentioned in it or any airline used during your travel arrangements.
If you decide to curtail your holiday and return home
early without reasonable cause for complaint about the travel services
provided, we will not refund the uncompleted part of your tour or cover any
associated costs. Depending on the circumstances, your travel insurance may
offer coverage for curtailment. It is your responsibility to contact your
insurer and obtain any necessary local receipts for your claim.
15. Travel Documents Requirements:
It is your responsibility to ensure that you possess
the correct and up-to-date travel documents and meet visa requirements based on
your nationality. Failure to comply with these requirements may result in
denial of entry into Jordan.
Please note that travel document requirements and
regulations may change over time, so it is essential to verify all information
with the nearest Jordanian embassy, consulate, or official government sources
well in advance of your departure. Plato Tours & Travel is not responsible for any issues
arising from the lack of appropriate travel documents or failure to comply with
visa regulations. We encourage you to stay informed and prepared to make your
journey to Jordan enjoyable and hassle-free.
16.
Multiple Nationalities:
If you hold multiple nationalities or passports, ensure
that you use the same passport
details for both providing information to us and for entry to and exit from
Jordan.
Before booking your trip, it is your responsibility to
make sure you are in possession of a valid passport, and that your passport is
valid for at least SIX MONTHS after your trip. You are responsible for
providing and verifying complete and accurate information for all participants
and services at the time of reservation. When you receive any and all travel
documents, it is your responsibility to review and verify all information for
accuracy.
17. Meals, Dietary Restrictions and Allergies:
All meals mentioned in the itinerary are included. Any
meals not included in the itinerary are on your own. We will attempt to cater
to your dietary needs and/or any food allergies you may have. Please let us and
your tour guide know ahead of time if you need special accommodations regarding
meals. You MUST include any special dietary conditions in your reservation
form.
Eating is a big part of traveling. Travelling with Plato Tours & Travel will give
you the chance to experience the vast array of wonderful food that is available
out in Jordan. Generally, meals are not included in the trip price when there
is a choice of eating options, to give you the maximum flexibility in deciding
where, what and with whom to eat. It also gives you more budgeting flexibility,
though generally food is cheap.
Our groups tend to eat together to enable you to taste
a larger variety of dishes and enjoy each other's company. There is no
obligation to do this though. Your Guide will be able to suggest favorite
restaurants during your trip. The above information applies to Plato Tours & Travel group
trips. For Independent trips please check the itinerary for details of meals
included. For all trips, please refer to the meals included and budget
information for included meals and meal budgets.
18. Individual Entry and Exit Requirements:
Each country maintains distinct regulations regarding
past criminal offenses, both within and outside their borders. If you have a
current or prior criminal offense, it is your responsibility to contact the
relevant authorities in that country directly to ascertain the specific entry
and exit requirements. For detailed information on these requirements, we
recommend visiting the official websites of Jordan's tourism board (https://ar.visitjordan.com) and
the Jordanian Customs Department (https://www.customs.gov.jo/en). Please be aware
that we do not solicit information about an individual's criminal record, as we
uphold our commitment to respecting our client's privacy.
19. Hazardous Materials:
Federal law prohibits passengers from carrying
hazardous materials on the aircraft. Federal law forbids the carriage of
hazardous materials aboard aircraft in the passenger’s luggage or on the
passenger’s person. A violation can result in five years imprisonment and
penalties of $250,000 or more. Hazardous materials include explosives,
compressed gases, flammable liquids and solids, oxidizers, poisons, corrosives,
and radioactive materials, for example; Paints, lighter fluid, fireworks, tear
gases, oxygen bottles, and radiopharmaceuticals.
There are special exceptions for small quantities (up
to 70 ounces total) of medicinal and toilet articles carried in the passenger’s
luggage and certain smoking materials carried on the passenger’s person.
For further information, each passenger should contact
the relevant airline representative(s) on their itinerary. Restrictions on
hazardous materials are listed at https://qaiairport.com/en/before-you-fly/luggage/pages/default.aspx

21. Air Reservations, Schedule Confirmation,
Check-In:
Your airline ticket is a contract between you and the
air carrier, even if you purchase through Plato Tours & Travel. If you purchase air travel through Plato Tours & Travel, you
acknowledge and agree that Plato
Tours & Travel does not have the right to control the operations of independent airlines, and agree
that Plato Tours & Travel is not liable for any personal injury, or property
damage related to your purchase of air tickets or air travel, including, but
not limited to any act, error, omission, injury, loss, accident, or delay
caused by any act, error or omission of the airline, including their failure to
deliver services, partial or inadequate delivery of services, airline policies,
fuel increases, bankruptcy or cessation of operations.
We are not always in a position at the time of booking
to confirm the aircraft and flight timings that will be used in connection with
your flight. The flight timings shown in our brochure, on our website, and/or
detailed on your confirmation invoice are for guidance only and are subject to
alteration and confirmation. Flight timings are outside our control. They are
set by airlines and are subject to various factors including air traffic
control restrictions, weather conditions, potential technical problems, and the
ability of passengers to check in on time. Specific instructions relating to
departure and travel arrangements will be sent with your air or other travel
tickets approximately 2 weeks before departure.
You must accordingly check your tickets very carefully
immediately upon receipt to ensure you have the correct flight times. It is
possible that flight times may be changed even after tickets have been
dispatched - we will contact you as soon as possible if this occurs. Any change
in the identity of the carrier, flight timings, and/or aircraft type (if
advised) will not entitle you to cancel or change to other arrangements without
paying our normal charges except where specified in these conditions.
Plato Tours &
Travel shall
not assume any responsibility for any air schedule changes. In rare instances,
upon departure from a country, certain departure taxes must be paid in cash
only and may vary in price. Failure to use a reservation may result in the
automatic cancellation of all continuing and return flights, as well as
forfeiture of airfares. Airline e-tickets expire a year from the issue date
unless carrier fare rules in the passenger’s itinerary fare provide otherwise.
Due to enhanced security, it is strongly recommended that you check in a
minimum of 2 hours prior to scheduled departure for domestic flights and 3
hours prior to scheduled departure time for international flights. Reconfirm
flight times at least 24 hours prior to scheduled departure time for domestic flights
and 72 hours prior for international flights.
Frequent Flyer mileage accrual is at the discretion of
the airline(s). Plato Tours
& Travel has no liability if the accrual of miles or points is
denied or if upgrades are not allowed. Many airlines do not permit upgrades on
airfare purchased in certain fare classes or when using frequent flyer miles,
loyalty status, or certificates. Seat assignments are not guaranteed even after
they are assigned, and Plato
Tours & Travel has no control over airline seat assignments. Most airlines
charge a fee to pre-book a seat.
22. Unused Arrangements, Minimum Passenger
Requirements, and Alterations to Bookings:
No refunds will be issued for unused services (late
arrivals, temporary absences from your trip, or early departures), for unused
transportation where group activity tickets are involved, because of airline
schedule changes or irregular operations, or for voluntary modifications made
by you. Some group tours are based on the minimum number of passengers
traveling; if the number of passengers falls below the minimum required, a
surcharge may be imposed, or the tour may be canceled. Any cancellations of a
tour or package for reason of failing to meet the minimum traveler requirement
will be governed by our cancellation policy. Alterations to your itinerary may
be necessary for any number of reasons, including but not limited to severe
weather, border closings, or flight changes. Any alterations to an itinerary
are at the sole discretion of Plato
Tours & Travel or its Suppliers, and no refund or trip price
reduction is given if an itinerary change is necessary.
23. Health / Immunizations:
As of the latest information, no specific vaccinations
are required for entry into Jordan. It is your responsibility to get any
recommended vaccinations prior to your trip. Our trips range from somewhat
active to very active in nature. It is your responsibility to choose an
itinerary and destination compatible with your level of capabilities. You will
not be refunded for activities you were unable to participate in due to physical
restrictions. We urge you to seek the advice of your doctor if you are unsure
whether or not you can participate in a tour’s activities.
However, you may want to consult your doctor about
health requirements and recommendations prior to your trip. You must have the
proper immunizations and health screenings and the required documentation of
such immunizations and screenings before travel. Plato Tours & Travel shall not assume responsibility
for the accuracy of health, vaccination, or documentation prior to departure or
upon landing at the final destination. In some cases, required inoculations
must be recorded by the Client’s health practitioner on a valid vaccination
certificate, which the Client must carry for proof of immunization. If you are
concerned about taking any medications or receiving certain inoculations, check
with your health practitioner BEFORE booking.
24. Risks/Safety:
Travel to certain destinations may involve greater risk
than others. Plato Tours &
Travel urges Clients to remain informed on a daily basis as to current news events,
as well as to review travel prohibitions, warnings, announcements, and
advisories issued by the Jordan Government prior to booking travel to
international destinations.
BY OFFERING FOR SALE TRAVEL TO PARTICULAR DESTINATIONS,
PLATO TOURS & TRAVEL DOES NOT REPRESENT OR WARRANT THAT TRAVEL TO SUCH
POINTS IS ADVISABLE OR WITHOUT RISK (INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, THE RISK OF
DEATH OR INJURY) AND SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR COSTS, DAMAGES, OR LOSSES THAT MAY
RESULT FROM TRAVEL TO SUCH DESTINATIONS. CLIENT’S PARTICIPATION CONSTITUTES
ACCEPTANCE OF SUCH EVENTS AT CLIENT’S OWN RISK. BY MAKING A RESERVATION FOR A
TRIP, YOU ACCEPT THE RISKS INVOLVED IN VISITING JORDAN ON YOUR TRIP; AS SUCH,
YOU WILL NOT BE ENTITLED TO A REFUND (EXCEPT AS OTHERWISE PROVIDED HEREIN) IF
YOU LATER ELECT TO CANCEL THE TRIP BECAUSE A POSTED ALERT OR CAUTIONARY ADVICE
IS SUBSEQUENTLY LISTED ON THE OFFICIAL SITE OF THE JORDANIAN E-GOVERNMENT: https://form.jordan.gov.jo/wps/portal/Home#/ the
event of emergent health or safety
concerns, once Plato Tours & Travel has investigated the prevailing
situation, Plato Tours & Travel shall have the sole and absolute
discretion whether to proceed with any Plato Tours & Travel escorted trip or private departure or
to make alterations to the itinerary.
25. Special Needs, & Participation Requirements:
Any special requirements or disabilities must be
disclosed to Plato Tours &
Travel at the time of reservation, or if such requirements arise after
the reservation, as soon as such requirements are or reasonably should be known
by the participant. If Plato
Tours & Travel has not received disclosure of requirements or
disabilities that require reasonable accommodations for accessibility, and/or
if your participation poses a threat to the safety or health of yourself or
others, Plato Tours & Travel may be unable to accommodate you for part or
all of travels or any services provided in connection with your travels.
Laws and regulations related to the accommodation of
disabilities and special needs vary from country to country, and Plato Tours & Travel is not
liable for the denial of services by air carriers, hotels, restaurants, or
other independent suppliers. Certain activities or venues may be limited or
inaccessible to you if your mobility is limited in any manner. Many excursions
and sightseeing involve extended periods of walking and standing, often on
uneven pavement or surfaces, and may include staircases, paths, walkways, or
locations that are narrow or inaccessible or of limited accessibility by
wheelchair. You are responsible for assessing if the itinerary is suitable for
all participants on the reservation.
We recommend contacting Plato Tours & Travel prior to making a reservation
to determine what reasonable assistance might be available. Plato Tours & Travel will
make reasonable efforts to accommodate passengers’ needs but cannot guarantee
that it can do so in all cases. You are advised that some Suppliers, including
hotels and small ships or boats, may not have elevators. No refunds are
provided for missed services or activities due to your inability to fully
participate with the group if conditions requiring assistance are not known to Plato Tours & Travel at
the time of reservation or when reasonably known by the participant.
Plato Tours &
Travel does
not provide personal services or individual assistance to trip participants.
Our staff is not required or trained to assist with personal tasks. This
includes eating, dressing, toileting, lifting or pushing a wheelchair, walking,
getting on or off transportation, porterage, or other personal needs. If you need
such assistance, we strongly recommend that you have a companion accompany you
to assist you. You must notify Plato
Tours & Travel at the time of reservation if you are traveling with
a wheelchair or if the need for a wheelchair arises after the reservation, then
as soon as that need is known. You are responsible for the storage and
maintenance of any permissible wheelchair. In some destinations, motorized
scooters may not be permitted. If you arrive with a motorized scooter, you will
be responsible for its alternate transportation arrangements to your end
destination at your expense.
If you have any special request, you must notify us in
writing at the time of booking. Although we will endeavor to relay any
reasonable requests to the relevant Supplier, we regret we cannot guarantee any
request will be met. Failure to meet any special request will not be a breach
of contract on our part. Unless and until specifically confirmed, all special
requests are subject to availability. For your own protection, you should
obtain confirmation in writing that a special request will be complied with (where
it is possible to give this) where it is important to you. Our company cannot
accept any conditional bookings, i.e., any booking which is specified to be
conditional on the fulfillment of a particular request. All such bookings will
be treated as “standard” bookings subject to the above provisions on special
requests.
26. Client Conduct:
Each participant in any trip escorted by Plato Tours & Travel is
expected to act responsibly and adhere
to all behavior guidelines established by Plato Tours & Travel and
our Suppliers, including dress codes at religious and cultural sites. Plato Tours & Travel and all
local Suppliers reserve the right to remove you from any facility, hotel
or resort property, tour location, or means of transportation if your health or
your conduct appears to endanger yourself or others, disrupt the general
well-being of other clients on any element of your trip, or interferes with the
operation or security of the places we visit. In any such case, there will be
no refund.
When you book with Plato Tours & Travel, you accept responsibility for any
damages or losses caused by you. Full payment for any such damage or loss must
be paid directly at the time to the accommodation owner, manager, or other
Supplier. You must indemnify us for the full amount of any claim (including
reasonable attorneys’ fees and other legal costs) made against us because of
your conduct.
We are not responsible for any costs incurred
concerning a guest removed from a trip or any portion of a trip. You agree not
to hold Plato Tours & Travel
or any of its owners or related entities liable for any actions taken
under these terms and conditions.
Baggage and personal effects are, at all times, the exclusive responsibility of
the passenger, and Plato Tours
& Travel is not responsible for the care of a passenger’s baggage or
other personal effects.
Any transportation, possession, or use of illegal drugs
will result in the immediate termination of your trip. You are responsible for
knowing and observing the licensing laws for drug possession (including
prescription and over-the-counter medications) for your visit. Laws may require
you to carry a prescription from your doctor.
Smoking is not allowed on transportation that Plato Tours & Travel provides.
Smoking includes cigarettes, e-cigarettes, cigars, e-cigars, or other smoking
or vaping devices. You are responsible for abiding by and adhering to the Service
Provider’s terms & conditions, including as they relate to smoking. This
includes, but is not limited to, smoking only in designated sections of
vessels, hotels, or restaurants. Plato
Tours & Travel contracts non-smoking rooms. Hotels may impose a 100%
non-smoking policy. If you
require a smoking room, a request may be submitted, but Plato Tours &
Travel cannot guarantee availability. Weapons are not permitted on any Plato Tours & Travel itinerary.
This includes firearms, knives, mace or pepper spray, and weapons of any other
type.
27. Contracted Accommodations:
Hotels are listed in your itinerary, but Plato Tours & Travel reserves the
right to substitute alternative accommodations if necessary. Plato Tours & Travel will use its
best efforts to secure comparable accommodations. No refunds are provided for
hotel changes. Full cancellation fees apply if you wish to cancel your
reservation because of a hotel change. Air conditioning in hotels is not
guaranteed, and its availability depends on local and national
laws/regulations. Though hotels may have air-conditioning as a listed amenity,
its usage is often unavailable at night or in the off-season. Plato Tours & Travel has no
control over air-conditioning at hotels.
Plato Tours & Travel does
not secure early check-in (unless specifically noted in an itinerary).
Check-in times vary worldwide and are solely at the discretion of the hotel. At
your discretion, you may inquire about early check-in when you arrive and pay
the hotel directly for this service. Earning loyalty points for hotel
reservations on your itinerary may
not be possible. Hotel rewards/points cannot be redeemed with hotels used by Plato
Tours & Travel. Plato Tours & Travel contracts run-of-the-house
rooms, meaning bedding configurations are not guaranteed but may be indicated
as a preference during the reservation. The assignment of rooms is at the
hotel’s discretion and not controlled by Plato Tours & Travel. The single supplement ensures your

surprised once you arrive at the hotel, and you will find it classified more
than what we graded it for you.
For all our tours and tailor-made holidays in Jordan,

and are not included in the Tour price unless stated.
48. Ramadan:
According to the lunar cycle, Ramadan will fall between
Mar 11th - Apr 8th 2024, and Mar 1st - Mar 29th
2025 and Feb18th – Mar 18th 2026. Please note that
Ramadan is a month of fasting observed by Muslims throughout the world, during
which time the followers of Islam should not eat or drink between sunrise and
sunset. There may be some limitations to services and disruptions to schedules during
Ramadan, but generally our tours still operate effectively during this period
and food is available to non-Muslims throughout the day.
It is very important to display increased cultural
sensitivity during Ramadan. Please wear loose fitting clothes, that cover knees
and shoulders, and try to avoid eating, drinking or smoking in public out of
respect for those who can't at that time.
49. COMBO TRIP:
Please note that our GROUP TOURS is part of a
combination of multiple tours. As such, the tour guide, staff and/or particular
vehicles operating your tour may change between tour segments. You may also
expect some group members to join or leave the tour, between tour segments.
50. Smoking guidelines:
In accordance with international practice and as a
courtesy to non-smoking passengers in Jordan, the traveler’s cooperation is
required in implementing a policy of prohibiting smoking on vehicles. At no
time and under no circumstance is smoking permitted on vehicles. The guide or
driver in Jordan will ensure that sufficient comfort stops are made to enable
travelers to smoke.
Smoking includes cigarettes, e-cigarettes, cigars,
e-cigars, or other smoking or vaping devices. You are responsible for abiding
by and adhering to the Service Provider’s terms & conditions, including as
they relate to smoking. This includes, but is not limited to, smoking only in designated sections of
vessels, hotels, or restaurants. Plato Tours & Travel contracts non-smoking
rooms. Hotels may impose a 100% non-smoking policy. If you require a smoking room, a request may be
submitted, but Plato Tours & Travel cannot guarantee availability.
51. Plato Tours & Tarvel Driver:
You will be accompanied on your tour by an English-speaking
driver (if your final itinerary includes transfers) in Jordan. While not an
official licensed Ministry of Tourism guide, your driver will assist you during
your tour but is unable to enter the sites with you. Kindly note that your
driver is not a guide and he cannot act as a guide. Your driver with Plato Tours & Travel will
transfer you from one destination to another only by dropping you off and
picking you up.
There are local guides available to hire on sites in
Jordan, and it is optional to hire. Mainly, Plato Tours & Travel includes a guide in Petra and
Jerash. In Wadi Rum during the jeep tour, you will have a local Bedouin guide.
Your driver transfers you according to your itinerary (destination to
destination), he will assist you with where to have dinners/lunches, he will be
able to advise you on the time of pick up and drop off, etc. He might be able
to explain about the areas and sites you visit, about Jordan, some facts, and
some traditions. He will be able to arrange the optional tours. He is not at
your disposal 24/7.
52. Horse Ride in Petra:
The horse ride fees in Petra in Jordan are for
approximately 700 meters and are included in the entry ticket. This ride is not
insured and is the guest's own responsibility (please note that the horse
handler will expect a tip of around 3-5 JD per horse).
53. Local Guide in Petra:
The local guides (who are at the Visitor’s Center of
Petra site) are independently assigned and not under the control of travel
agencies. Furthermore, Travel Agencies are not in position to guarantee the
quality of their services.
While we usually strive to assign licensed guides familiar
with our standards, during peak seasons, there may be occasions when you are
accompanied by a guide from the Petra Visitors Center. In the event that you
encounter any issues or have complaints regarding the guides from the Petra
Visitors Center, we recommend addressing them directly with the Petra Visitors
Centre at the conclusion of your guided tour in Petra. This ensures that your
concerns are brought to the attention of the relevant authority for resolution.
It's worth mentioning that these guides, though not
directly affiliated with our agency, contribute significantly to the overall
experience. While we don't have direct control over their services, we
appreciate the valuable role they play in enhancing your visit to Petra.
54. Services Provided in Wadi Rum:
As per the regulations of the Wadi Rum Authority, tour
activities must be handled by the Bedouin of Wadi Rum, using their 4WD
vehicles, camels, horse riding, hot air balloons, or any other activities that
take place within the Wadi Rum Protected Area. Plato Tours & Travel cannot
guarantee the quality of the services provided by local Bedouins serving such
services or activities.
55.
4x4 Vehicles in Wadi Rum:
The 4x4s you'll find in Wadi Rum are charmingly vintage
with a touch of rugged authenticity—they're older models and might not come
with air conditioning, adding a bit of adventure to your desert experience.
These vehicles are proudly owned by the local Bedouin association in Wadi Rum,
reflecting the deep connection they have with the stunning Wadi Rum landscape.
Admittedly, these vehicles have seen their fair share
of desert adventures and are not in pristine condition. However, given the
limited options for desert transportation in Wadi Rum, we believe in being honest
with our clients about their state. It's part of the unique charm and local
flavor of the Wadi Rum experience.
When you embark on a 4x4 tour in Wadi Rum, know that
you're not just exploring the breathtaking terrain; you're also contributing to
the well-being of the local community in the Wadi Rum Protected Area and
Natural Reserve. Your journey becomes a meaningful way to support and connect
with the vibrant local culture and traditions.
56.
Hiking Wadi Mujib:
At Wadi Mujib, it's important to note that the
availability of life jackets is limited, and there is a maximum capacity for
groups entering the gorge at one time, which is typically set at 80 people,
Consequently, if the number of individuals in a group exceeds 50 people, it may
be necessary to divide the group into two separate entries, This division could
potentially cause a delay in our journey through the reserve as we ensure
everyone's safety and compliance with the maximum capacity regulations.
When hiking the Siq Trail, wearing a life jacket is
mandatory for safety reasons, The reserve provides life jackets, but it's
advisable to check with the authorities or tour operator beforehand to confirm
the availability of safety equipment. Please be aware that the life jackets at
Wadi Mujib reserve may not always be in a good condition, but they are still
functional and can be used for safety purposes, Also, it’s important to manage
expectations and understand that the life jackets provided might show signs of
wear and tear, this advance notice allows you to be prepared and reassures you
that despite their appearance, the life jackets are still suitable for use
during your visit to Wadi Mujib.
57.

General Policy:
1. You hereby consent to Plato Tours & Travels’
use of pictures or videos of you in our marketing materials without
compensation. Facsimile or scanned transmission of any signed document shall be
deemed delivery of an original. If there are any conflicts between this
Participant Agreement and the Itinerary, this Participant Agreement shall
apply.
2. Plato Tours & Travel reserves the right
to decline to do business with anyone on a nondiscriminatory basis.
3. Active
Elements, Medical Conditions, and Special Assistance: Some of our Tours
incorporate active elements such as hiking, climbing, or canyoning; you are
responsible for familiarizing yourself with the level of activity that will be
involved in your Tour.
4. You must disclose in your Participant
Information Form (or at such later time when you become aware of such a
condition) any existing physical or mental illness, disability, pregnancy, or
any other condition that may create a health hazard for yourself or others
during the Tour or for which you may require medical attention or special
accommodation during the Tour. Plato Tours & Travel reserves the right to
decline to do business with anyone on a nondiscriminatory basis. However, we will
make reasonable efforts to accommodate your needs, but you must notify us at
the time of booking for a determination of what assistance we can reasonably
provide.
5. We
regret that we cannot accommodate you if you have special needs for ordinary
daily activities, such as walking and dining. In no instance will our Suppliers
or we physically lift or assist you onto or off any vehicles. If we cannot
accommodate your special needs, you must be accompanied by a companion who will
be responsible for independently providing the needed assistance.
6. Plato Tours & Travel reserves the right
to decline acceptance of anyone we consider unsuitable due to fitness level. We
also reserve the right to remove you from the Tour, at your own expense, if
your condition is such that it could create a hazard to you or others, or otherwise
impact the enjoyment of other passengers.
7. All
our vehicles in Jordan comply with relevant safety regulations, and we provide
large enough vehicles to accommodate the number of guests and luggage.
8. All
drivers/guides in Jordan are licensed in terms of local legislation.
9. In order to process your booking, Plato Tours
& Travel needs to collect certain personal details from you. These details
will usually include the names and addresses of party members, credit/debit or
other payment details, and special requirements such as those relating to any
disability or medical condition that may affect the holiday arrangements. Plato
Tours & Travel takes full responsibility for ensuring that proper security
measures are in place to protect your information.
10. Plato Tours & Travel must pass some
information on to the relevant suppliers of your travel arrangements (airlines,
hotels, transport companies, etc.). The information may also be provided to
security or credit checking companies, public authorities such as
customs/immigration if required by them, or as required by law.
11. When the passenger submits the review form,
they accept that the feedback and all rights therein become the sole property
of Plato Tours & Travel and that Plato Tours & Travel shall have the
right to make it available to the public on this website and for any purpose
and in any media (including for advertising or other commercial use).
12. Limitation of Liability and Damages: In no
event will Plato Tours & Travel be liable for any injury, loss, claim,
damage, or any special, punitive, exemplary, direct, indirect, incidental, or
consequential damages of any kind, whether based in contract, tort, strict
liability, or otherwise, that arise out of or are in any way connected with the
Tour, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
13. Each
term or condition of these terms and conditions shall be separate and
separately enforceable from the other terms and conditions herein, and shall in
no way be limited or restricted by reference to or inference from any other
terms and conditions. If any term or condition herein shall be found to be
illegal or unenforceable, then the remaining terms and conditions hereof shall
be and remain binding.
14. If any part of these Terms and Conditions is determined to be invalid or unenforceable pursuant to applicable law, including, but not limited to, the warranty disclaimers and liability limitations set forth above, then the invalid or unenforceable provision will be deemed superseded by a valid, enforceable provision that most closely matches the intent of the original provision, and the agreement shall continue in effect. These Terms and Conditions (and any other terms and conditions referenced in these Terms) constitute the entire agreement between the Client and Plato Tours & Travel with respect to travel bookings made with Plato Tours & Travel by any means, and it supersedes all prior or contemporaneous communications and proposals, whether electronic, oral, or written, between the Client and Plato Tours & Travel with respect to communications with Plato Tours & Travel.
