ADDITIONAL SERVICES

{Tipping is usually part of the culture and in most cases leaving a tip is good etiquette as well showing your appreciation for the good services you would be received, unless of course the service was really terrible, don't feel obliged to give a tip just because it is "customary". Most of the industries that involved in providing services, such as restaurants, pay wages as they expect the employee will receive tips. Therefore, it is quite nice of you to give tip when you get an amazing service}.

{This TOUR is based on fully guided option. The "Fully Guided Option" would give you a private English- speaking tour guide for all touring days. The "Local Guide Option" would provide you with an English- speaking driver, who would arrange your entry fees and also arrange the local English- speaking guides wherever there're available -- in this case that would include local guide in Jerash, Bethany & Beyond, and in Petra. Local guides are only available to hire in Jerash, Bethany & Beyond, and Petra only. Other sites are subject to availability.

If you want to choose the LOCAL GUIDED OPTION to make the trip less expensive than these offered prices, please contact our Travel Experts for a revised quote}.

Day 3

Karak Crusader Castle

Free morning at the Dead Sea. In the afternoon, drive to Karak, located south of Jordan, and the Crusaders had built a massive Fortress there during the period of their control over the Kings Way to be a strategically linked point between Shobak Castle and Jerusalem. It is an ancient Crusader stronghold; where it sits 900 meters above sea level and lies inside the walls of the old city. Karak Castle is a dark maze of stone- vaulted halls and endless passageways. The best preserved are underground and can be reached via a massive door. The Castle is an impressive insight into the architectural military genius of the Crusaders.

Finally, head south to Petra for overnight and in the evening, enjoy a private Bedouin dinner at Baidha “Little Petra”.

Overnight: Petra | Meals: Breakfast & Dinner.

Day 4

The Rose City of Petra

After breakfast, spend the day with your private guide exploring the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Rose City of Petra. The ancient site rediscovered in 1812, and it was first settled around the 6th century BC by the Nabataean tribe from Arabian Peninsula. Start your magnificent archaeological treasure visit of the Rose City on foot through a narrow Siq, where the gorge leads you to reveal the famous facade of Al-Khazneh (the Treasury). Continuing your walk inside the ancient site and explore tombs, temples, an extraordinary Amphitheatre and a Roman colonnaded street.

If you still didn’t run out of energy, why not try to ascend the hundreds of rock-cut steps to ad-Deir. Better known as the Monastery, ad-Deir has a similar facade to that of the Treasury, but is quite bigger and the view from the top of the façade is breathtaking.

This evening join the crowd for a cuisine course at the local Petra Kitchen, where you help prepare a memorable Jordanian feast:

Petra Kitchen is a delightful way to round out your Jordan travel experiences. Like any home kitchen, The Petra Kitchen is a relaxed, informal atmosphere where you'll gather to prepare an evening meal, working alongside local women under the supervisions of their chef. Each evening meal includes soup, cold and hot mezza and salads, and a main course- all typical Jordanian dishes.

Overnight: Petra | Meals: Breakfast.

Day 5

The Rose City of Petra

Today! It is time to get off the beaten track for your second day touring in Petra! Al Madras “Secret way” is really off the tourist path, where it gives you the chance to enjoy a scenic view to the Treasury from above. You’ll be continuing discovering the site and visit the High Place of Sacrifice, Wadi Farasa, Great Temple and Royal Tombs. Once you finish your tour inside the ruins, you will follow the route down to the outer Siq back to the main gate.

In the evening, attend the Petra by Night show.

Petra By Night program is a candle lit visit to the Rose-Red City of Petra. The special aura of the ancient Nabatean trading empire comes to life as you enjoy a stroll through the mysterious Siq of Petra. And at al Khaznah (The Treasury), music and stories will help you experience Petra as the travel-weary traders of old must have known it. The excursion departs from Petra Visitor Center each Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evening at 20:30, returning to Visitor Center around 22:30.

Overnight: Petra | Meals: Breakfast.

Day 6
